We can’t believe how quickly the year is passing by -- it is practically summer! We thought it would be the perfect time to start thinking of your next adventure with summer almost here. With the pandemic coming to a close, we thought a summer road trip would be an excellent way to kick off the warm season.

The team here at Jeff's Automotive is here to help your adventures go safely and smoothly by making sure your vehicle is up to the task. We have compiled a few tips and tricks to ensure your road trip is one for the books:

  • Pack smart -- When packing your vehicle, think about how to pack most effectively. If your car has too much weight on it, it can be challenging to maneuver in an emergency, and you might be at a greater risk of rolling over. Also, when your car is heavier, your fuel economy is reduced.
  • Pack an emergency kit -- Your emergency kit should include flashlights, blankets, a first-aid kit, snacks, and water. When it comes to road trips, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
  • Review your owner’s manual -- It is easy for us to forget about your owner’s manual, typically stored in our glove box. However, your owner’s manual contains helpful information about your vehicle. We recommend quickly reviewing it before embarking on your next adventure.
  • Make sure your air conditioning system is working -- We don’t want you or your family to be stuck in a hot car without the air conditioning system working. Before you head out, simply turn on your A/C to make sure everything is in working order.
  • Schedule an appointment at Jeff’s Automotive for preventative maintenance. When you bring your vehicle to our facility in Easton, PA, we can thoroughly examine your vehicle, including its fluid levels, windshield wipers, battery, tires, brakes, and so on.

Before you embark on your next journey this summer, we encourage you to bring your vehicle to our shop for an inspection. This way, you won’t have to worry about the condition of your car while you are out on the road -- we want you to enjoy your time with your family worry-free. Please schedule an appointment for service and repair through our website. Jeff’s Automotive is located at 4110 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA 18045, and our business hours are Monday - Saturday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. We look forward to serving you soon!

Filters are easy to forget because they do their work quietly. You do not see them cleaning the air, fuel, or oil while you drive. You only notice them when the car starts smelling musty, losing power, using more fuel, or acting like it has not been serviced in too long.

Pennsylvania state inspections and emissions testing can feel stressful when you are not sure what the shop is looking for. Your car might drive fine around town, start every morning, and still have a problem that keeps it from passing. That is what catches many drivers off guard.

A cold A/C vent feels simple when everything is working. You press a button, set the temperature, and expect cool air to show up. Behind that, the system is moving heat out of the cabin instead of creating cold air from nothing.
